  • Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 12 roma tomatoes (sliced)
  • Fresh mozzarella (4 ounces, sliced)
  • Fresh basil leaves (8)
  • Reduced balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Season each filet mignon generously with kosher salt and pepper. Brush lightly with olive oil.
  2. Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the steaks on the grill and reduce heat to medium. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Flip the steaks carefully and cook for another 5 minutes for medium-rare doneness.
  4. Add toppings: Layer each steak with one tomato slice, one basil leaf, one slice of mozzarella, followed by another basil leaf and tomato slice.
  5. Optionally, cover the grill and cook on low for an additional 3-5 minutes until cheese melts.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before drizzling with reduced balsamic vinegar.
