  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp cold unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberries (for glazing)
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Blend in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, vanilla extract, and egg. Gradually add this to the dry mixture and fold in chopped strawberries gently.
