  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups chopped strawberries
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter for crumble
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar for crumble
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup flour for crumble
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Alternate adding flour and milk until just combined, then gently fold in chopped strawberries.
  6. For the crumble topping, mix melted butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until crumbly.
  7. Fill muffin cups three-quarters full with batter and sprinkle crumble topping on each.
  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown; use a toothpick to check for doneness.
  9. Cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack.
