  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons panko bread crumbs
  • 1 egg (slightly beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except olive oil. Mix until well combined.
  2. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  3. Shape the chilled mixture into twelve patties about 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 2 minutes on each side until browned.
