  • 1/2 cup strawberry preserves
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 3 tbsp whole milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk between 105°F to 110°F; combine with yeast in a mixing bowl and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, flour, softened butter, salt, and egg; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead gently until combined and let rise for about 60 minutes until doubled.
  4. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle; spread strawberry preserves and diced strawberries on top.
  5. Roll into a log shape and cut into equal pieces (about 12).
  6. Place cut-side up on a greased baking sheet; let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
