Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Rice Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup red candy melts
  • 1 cup blue candy melts
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (divided)
  • ⅔ cup patriotic M&M’s

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of Rice Chex. Melt the red candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl on high for about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Drizzle over the cereal and mix gently.
  3. Sprinkle with ¼ cup powdered sugar while the cereal is still wet. Toss gently with rubber gloves and repeat with another ¼ cup powdered sugar.
  4. Spread the coated cereal on one side of the baking sheet to dry.
  5. Repeat the process using the blue candy melts.
  6. Once dry (about 10 minutes), mix both batches in a serving bowl and toss in the M&M’s.
