  • ¾ cup buttermilk

  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (diced)
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries (diced) for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam for glaze
  • 2 ½ cups powdered sugar for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and grease doughnut pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold in diced strawberries.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared pans, filling each about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool on a wire rack before glazing.
