Pineapple Jam is a delightful way to bring the tropical sweetness of fresh pineapples into your kitchen. This homemade jam is not only simple to make but also incredibly versatile. Perfect for spreading on toast or pancakes, as a topping for desserts, or even as a glaze for grilled meats, this jam captures the essence of summer in every jar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups crushed pineapple (from one 3 lb pineapple)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pineapple: Peel, core, and coarsely chop the pineapple. Use a food processor to pulse until finely crushed but not pureed.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a jam pot or deep saucepan, add the crushed pineapple and sugar (1/2 to 2/3 cup per cup of pineapple). Stir until combined.
  3. Cook the Mixture: Bring to a boil over high heat while continuously stirring. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes until thickened.
  4. Jar the Jam: Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. If canning, process in a water bath for 10 minutes.
