  • 1 ¼ cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
  • 23 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, vanilla extract, butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time to the wet mixture.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Fold in the chopped peaches gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 80 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  9. For the frosting: beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  10. Once cooled completely, frost the cake and garnish with chopped pecans and cinnamon.
