  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 100 g semisweet chocolate (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp orange zest (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine granulated sugar, eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, hot coffee, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and blend with an electric mixer until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool before preparing the frosting by beating together butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, melted chocolate, and orange zest until smooth.
