This refreshing drink is perfect for serving chilled after dinner or as a delightful addition to mocktails and desserts. With just a few simple ingredients, you’ll create a citrus-infused treat that embodies the sunny flavors of Italy, making it an excellent choice for gifting or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 large organic lemons
  • 500 ml pure non-alcohol (95%)
  • 600 g sugar
  • 750 ml water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lemons: Wash and scrub the lemons thoroughly. Dry them and use a vegetable peeler to remove just the yellow zest.
  2. Infuse the Lemon Zest: Place the lemon peels in an airtight glass jar and pour in the non-alcohol. Seal and store in a dark place for 30 days.
  3. Create the Syrup: After 30 days, heat water and sugar in a saucepan until boiling and fully dissolved. Let cool.
  4. Combine Syrup and Infusion: Add the cooled syrup to the jar with lemon zest, shake gently, and let sit for another 40 days.
  5. Finalize Limoncello: Shake again before straining through a cheesecloth into a clean bottle. Chill before serving.
