Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  5. For the filling, combine chopped nuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Roll out chilled dough into thin rectangles on a floured surface.
  7. Spread the nut mixture evenly over each rectangle and roll tightly into logs.
  8. Slice logs into individual cookies and place them on parchment-lined baking sheets.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
