Candy grapes are a fun and refreshing treat that transforms ordinary grapes into delightful candy-coated bites. Perfect for parties, picnics, or simply as a sweet snack, these colorful morsels combine the juicy burst of fresh grapes with a sugary crunch.

  • 2 cups seedless grapes (red or green)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (or almond extract)
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes; excess moisture will prevent the sugar from adhering.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, combine the sugar and water. Stir until dissolved and syrupy (about 5 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Using skewers or toothpicks, dip each grape into the syrup, allowing excess to drip off before placing them on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Chill for about 30 minutes or until the coating hardens.
