  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour for naan
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough for naan by activating the yeast with warm water and sugar. Let it froth.
  2. Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Mix the activated yeast with flour to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead until smooth, then let rise for one hour.
  4. In a heavy pot, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown. Add garlic and ginger.
  5. Mix in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, coconut milk, and spices. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for about one hour until the beef is tender.
