  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Soak the mixed dried fruits in orange juice for at least one hour or overnight.
  3. Cream the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in soaked fruits, chopped nuts, and citrus zest. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
