Scale
  • 1 (12-pack) King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup half and half or whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 4 tablespoons butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and half and half until well combined. Add vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt; mix thoroughly.
  2. Poke holes in the bottom of each roll to allow custard absorption. Dip each roll into the custard mixture for 30 seconds per side.
  3. Heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Cook each soaked roll for 30–60 seconds per side until golden brown.
  4. Serve warm with powdered sugar, fresh fruit, and maple syrup.
