  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp chili crisp
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 6 green onions (thinly sliced, separate white and green bits)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce (plus more for serving)
  • 2 Tbsp white miso paste
  • 6 cups vegetable broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 lb frozen vegetable, chicken, or beef dumplings (mini wontons or potstickers)
  • 3 to 4 cups baby bok choy or bok choy

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chili crisp, white parts of green onion, ginger, and garlic; cook until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
  2. Stir in soy sauce, broth, and rice vinegar; bring to boil then simmer for 4 minutes.
  3. Whisk miso paste with some hot broth until smooth; return to pot and stir well.
  4. Add frozen dumplings and simmer gently until cooked through.
  5. Mix in bok choy and half of the green onion tops; cook until wilted (1-2 minutes).
  6. Serve hot with desired toppings.
