  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ¼ cup whole milk, room temperature
  • ½ stick unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract for coating
  • ½ cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon for coating
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg for coating
  • ½ tsp ground ginger for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease donut pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, cloves, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, melted butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pans about three-fourths full and bake for 10-14 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow donuts to cool slightly before coating them in melted butter followed by a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
