  • 1 lb thin sliced sirloin steak
  • 1 thinly sliced green pepper
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 thinly sliced onion (white or red)
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (gluten-free if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine soy sauce (or coconut aminos), Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, and crushed red pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Place the sirloin strips, sliced green pepper, mushrooms, and onion into the crockpot.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the meat and vegetables.
  4. Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours until the beef is tender.
  5. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
