  • 3 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 6-mold donut pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar, flour, and cinnamon for the crumb topping. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly; chill in the freezer.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt). In another bowl, combine wet ingredients (egg, sour cream, melted butter, brown sugar) and gently fold into the dry mixture until combined.
  4. Spoon batter into the donut pan molds and sprinkle with chilled crumb topping.
  5. Bake for 10-11 minutes until donuts spring back when pressed. Cool before transferring to a wire rack.
