  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of chicken ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to ¼ inch thickness. Layer each breast with a slice of chicken ham and cheese. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  3. Dredge each roll in flour seasoned with salt and pepper, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear each roll for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the seared rolls to a baking dish and bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. For the cream sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, whisk in flour for one minute, then gradually add milk. Stir in Dijon mustard and Parmesan; simmer until thickened.
  7. Remove toothpicks from rolls, slice into rounds, drizzle with sauce, and enjoy.
