  • 4 cups no sugar added apple juice
  • 1/2 cup red hot candies
  • 1 package fruit pectin
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine apple juice, red hot candies, and fruit pectin. Bring to a full boil over high heat while stirring constantly.
  2. Once boiling, stir in the sugar and allow it to return to a full boil.
  3. Boil for 2 minutes while stirring continuously.
  4. Remove from heat and skim off any foam or undissolved candy pieces.
  5. Pour the hot mixture into pre-heated canning jars, leaving about 1/4 inch headspace.
  6. Wipe the rims of jars clean before sealing them with lids and rings. Process jars in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
