Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes, optional
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (9-10 minutes). Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until golden brown (7-8 minutes) and add half the garlic for flavor. Keep warm.
  4. Lower heat, melt remaining butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently for about 2 minutes.
  6. Add mozzarella cheese gradually until smooth and creamy. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  7. Toss the cooked linguine in the sauce using reserved pasta water to adjust consistency as needed.
  8. Serve garnished with parsley and extra cheese if desired.
