  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 chicken hamburger buns, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. In a bowl, mix torn buns with melted butter and sesame seeds; layer half in a baking dish.
  5. Spread half the beef mixture over the buns; add cheddar cheese and half of the sauce mixture made from mayo, ketchup, relish, mustard, vinegar, sugar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients and top with American cheese slices.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let cool slightly before serving with lettuce and pickles.
