  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and marinate in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge each piece in the flour mixture; let sit on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
  4. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, and honey (if using) in a small bowl for the Bang Bang sauce.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through (about 4–5 minutes per side).
  6. Drain excess oil on paper towels and serve drizzled with Bang Bang sauce or on the side.
