  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (halved)
  • ¾ pound deli-cut chicken
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white
  • Poppy seeds (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Add the chicken and mix until well coated.
  3. Cut each croissant in half horizontally. Spread filling on one side of each half and place cheese on top before closing.
  4. Brush the tops with egg white and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  5. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 18 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving warm.
