  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm milk and sugar until bubbly.
  2. Whisk in remaining milk, sugar, eggs, and melted butter.
  3. Combine flour and salt; then mix in the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough, spread apple butter evenly, sprinkle sugars and cinnamon on top.
  6. Roll into logs, slice into rounds, and place in a baking pan to rise again.
  7. Bake at 350°F until golden brown.
